Facilities

Justice & Safety Library

The College of Justice and Safety is housed in the Stratton building in the Robert R. Martin Complex. The Stratton Building houses:

  • Posey Auditorium
  • The Jusice & Safety library
  • Four computer labs
  • A cafeteria

Many of the classrooms have been wired for state of the art technology for interactive learning opportunities.

EMS Lab in the Dizney Building

Although not part of the Robert R. Martin complex, the Dizney Building, houses the Emergency Medical Care program and is an important part of the College of Justice & Safety’s facilities. The Dizney Building has two large lab facilities for hands-on training as well as classroom space.

J&S Library

In addition to 45,000 holdings, the recently remodeled Justice & Safety Library has a staff dedicated to helping EKU students and provides a comfortable environment for students to study and read. Students also have access to 12 computer workstations with Internet access, and lap top computers are available for graduate students to check out.

Posey Auditorium

The recently renovated Posey Auditorium has a 250-seat capacity and offers the latest in audiovisual technology. The College’s Distinguished Lecture Series and other guest lecturer presentations are held in Posey Auditorium. Guest lecturers include Dr. David Boyd, Deputy Director in the Department of Homeland Security and Dr. Emily Craig, Kentucky’s Forensic Anthropologist (pictured).

Sprinkler Lab

The Fire Sprinkler Lab, located in the Ashland, Inc. Fire and Safety Laboratory helps facilitate student learning and is available for outside agencies to use as a training device.
