For those looking for quick advancement and management opportunities within police work, our Police Studies program has a 40-year record of success. It is the only four-year policing program in Kentucky and one of the few in the nation dedicated to professional policing.

The course of study is designed to provide you with a balanced blending of academic and professional preparation. Policing courses available include criminal investigation, ethics, operations, administration, terrorism, predatory crime, computer technology and human relations. Available legal courses include criminal law, criminal evidence and criminal procedure.
The highly respected and socially diverse Police Studies faculty members combine substantial professional experience with solid academic credentials to foster your growth and challenge you to achieve academic excellence.
And of course, graduates of the program are also well equipped to succeed in graduate and law school.
