College of Justice & Safety
Program of Distinction Academic Scholarship

The College of Justice & Safety offers an academic scholarship for students majoring in one of our programs. This scholarship provides $1,250 per semester, which may be renewed a maximum of seven times. (Renewal is contingent upon continued outside funding of scholarships). To receive a College of Justice & Safety academic scholarship application, contact the OCollege’s Scholarship Coordinator at 859.622.3565 or email Jennifer.Goins@eku.edu.

Requirements:

  1. College of Justice & Safety Major (Preference will be given to Kentucky residents)
  2. First-year students: Minimum high school GPA of 3.0 with a 22 or higher ACT composite score or an SAT score of 1030 or higher. Transfer students: Minimum GPA of 3.5 for one year (24 hours) of study.
  3. Official copy of transcripts and two letters of recommendation required. Completion of scholarship application and essay questions. Essay question responses will be used as an evaluative tool by the scholarship awards committee.
  4. Application deadline for spring awards is October 15. The deadline for fall awards is March 15.
  5. All materials must be submitted in one envelope and sent to:

Joseph Famularo Scholarship

Joseph L. Famularo spent his life dedicated to the advancement of law enforcement. This special scholarship was established as a memorial to Joseph L. Famularo to recognize excellence and dedication of a junior or senior student seeking a degree in the areas of Criminal Justice or Police Studies
Requirements:                                                             

  1. Major in Criminal Justice or Police Studies
  2. Junior Standing
  3. A 3.7 GPA for the first two years of undergraduate study
