- Association of Fire Science Technicians (AFST)
The Association of Fire Science Technicians (AFST) is a student organization that is designed for students in the Loss Prevention and Safety department of the College of Justice & Safety here at EKU. We take great pride in our school, especially since our program is the only program of distinction here on campus. AFST aims to promote the art and science of Fire Protection Engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high academic and ethical standing among its members, and to foster Fire Protection Engineering education. We also strive to maintain a positive influence on the community through community service and unite the brothers and sisters here in EKU's FSE program that are preparing to enter a career in the fire service and safety fields.

- Assets Protection Society (APS)
Eastern Kentucky University's Assets Protection program began in 1977 and is the only one of its kind in the nation. The Assets Protection Society provides a way for students to network with professionals in the security industry and explore career opportunities within the field. It also helps them find jobs upon graduation.
As a member of the Assets Protection Society, you’ll engage in field trips relating to the security industry, go to cookouts to get to know other students within the major and participate in community service activities. Being a part of the Assets Protection Society builds upon what you’ll learn in the classroom and helps prepare you for a rewarding and challenging career in the fields of assets protection and security.

- American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
EKU’s ASSE student chapter is part of a professional organization that allows students to use professional references while looking for jobs, completing homework assignments and finding scholarships. We also hold monthly meetings that feature speakers from the safety field and take tours of local industries to learn more about safety programs.
The highlight of our school year is working as volunteers at the Governor’s Safety and Health conference in Louisville, Ky. At the conference, we work as student facilitators for all classes and help with any and all needs that the conference staff has.

- Epsilon Sigma Pi
This organization is dedicated to the development of the professional interests of Paramedics. We are located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in the Dizney Building. With two large lab facilities available and lots of classroom space, we offer an atmosphere of education and training that can't be matched in Kentucky. Please join us as we prepare for the future of EMS.
