Services

A major goal of the office is to create a sense of community in the delivery of online services in which the College's academic departments contribute to an approach that advances the College's efforts to deliver high quality distance education.
The Office engages in the following activities:
- Developing a vision, conceptual framework, and strategic plan for the expansion of online learning for the College;
- Working in cooperation with the three academic departments and two centers of the College of Justice and Safety to establish and support its distance education goals;
- Providing instructional design, media design and technical assistance that supports the development of online degree and certificate programs;
- Encouraging innovation and creativity in the design and delivery of high quality online courses;
- In conjunction with program faculty, establishing and monitoring performance measures for recruitment and retention;
- Developing and maintaining the College's Website;
- Working to align existing technology and the procurement of new technology consistent with the strategic plan;
- Collaborating with CJS's marketing staff to support multi-media needs; and
- Developing multimedia products (DVDs, CDs) for use in online classes.
