The Eastern Kentucky University College of Justice & Safety's Training Resource Center (TRC) is an adult professional development program. The TRC Provides training for social, human and juvenile justice services professionals and develops quality educational experiences for at-risk and delinquent youth.

The TRC began operating in 1984 with a series of contracts between Eastern Kentucky University and the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children. Since that time, the TRC has not only expanded its programs within the Commonwealth of Kentucky, but has designed and implemented programs throughout the United States.

Quality programs are developed in collaboration with various contracting agencies and the National Juvenile Detention Association which is based at EKU. The EKU Division of Media Resources provides technical assistance for the TRC's linear and distance video technology needs.

The TRC employs more than 100 full and part-time staff and over 40 graduate and undergraduate students. The staff of the TRC has skills and expertise in a wide range of areas that allows the Center to meet the needs of a growing number of clients throughout the Commonwealth and the Nation.
